मैं अभी राग दरबारी पढ़ रहा था..जो की श्री लाल शुक्ल के द्वारा लिखित है| यह उपन्यास मुझे विवेक उपाध्याय से प्राप्त हुई..जो उनके एक सम्बन्धी ने उनको भेंट दी थी...चूँकि मेरा इंटेरेस्ट है तो मैंने उनसे यह पुस्तक ले कर पढ़ने के बारे में सोचा | आज जब यह उपन्यास ख़तम हुआ तो फिर मैंने सोचा की मुझे इसके बारे में कुछ लिखना चाहिए.

वैसे देखा जाये तो यह उपन्यास थोडा पुराने परिप्रेक्ष्य में लिखी गई है और वैसे भी श्री लाल शुक्ल जी ने इसे १९७० के आस पास लिखा है | पुस्तक शुरू होती है...एक पात्र रंगनाथ से जो अपने मामा जी के यहाँ शिवपाल गंज जा रहे हैं....इनके मामा जी वहां के मठाधीश हैं और जिस तरह से उन्होंने गाँव में समाज सेवा के नाम पर सब कुछ अपनी मुठ्ठी में बंद कर रखा है, उसका व्याख्यान लेखक ने बड़े ही अच्चे ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया है. बीच बीच में लेखक ने जो व्यंग प्रस्तुत किये हैं...वोह तो अति उत्तम हैं. कुल मिला के मैं इसके बारे में कहूँगा की प्रत्येक किसी को यह पुस्तक पढ़नी चाहिए |

अभी मैं आगे श्री हरि शंकर परसाई जी के व्यंग के बारे में लिखूंगा...उम्मीद है कुछ पढ़ने वाले लोग उससे कुछ लाभ उठा पाएंगे और उत्साह वर्धन करेंगे ||

My literature....

I have been avid reader for 2-3 years..and almost read 2-3 novels at a time including English, Hindi...especially weekends used to be comparatively better for the task and I enjoyed reading. sipping self made tea. In the winters, it used to be a great feeling, sitting in balcony of C-127, First floor, Sector 19, Noida...in sun with a novel. At times, There used to be someone...maid...or cook who prepared tea for me...or else I used to prepare for myself.

The Last Don	Novel, Fiction	Mario Puzo	I read this when I was in college...I couldn't manage to get Godfather but came across an old copy of The Last Don. I found it terrific. Once started, I just read it completely. Review
